Root San Francisco Problems

Hi All

Newbie here with a San Francisco/Blade.
I rooted the phone and upgraded to Gen2 and installed CM7 Gen2 Mod.
I received a notification of upgrade to CM 7.0.2 and duly downloaded same and installed, but somewhere down the line my phone corrupted and on
restart it hung on the Lock screen and would not continue. I ended up
doing stock recovery and now, I have a basic CM7 installation and no Google apps. I cannot boot into recovery no matter what I try. I have Rom Managfer but it will not update and I do not appear to have ClockworkMod Recovery available as when I try to install anything with rom mgr I end up at the Droid screen. I have checked that the phone is still rooted using z4Root and it confirmed the root. Any help greatly appreciated.
Also please excuse the excessive post.

I believe that ROM Manager still uses Gen1 Recovery

Thanks for the reply. Downloaded recommended recovery but am unable to install it. Keep getting a parsing error. Is there any app that I can get to overcome this error?

Thanks for your help but phone died. Started going into Wifi disconnecting/scanning loop and after switching off and removing/replacing
battery would not boot beyond the Droid screen no mater what key/button combination used. Took it back to Orange Shop today and they replaced it.
For some reason it also bricked the SD Card and that is now useless cannot
format it on PC, write protected?? and no data at all on it.

sounds like had a dud phone
odd that it corrupted SD, do you access to GParted Linux partitioning app?

The card is crap tho
