Sandisk Finally Admits Fault for SD failure

I was pretty sure it was not an issue of the S3, I am running my SD Card since I bought the phone (June), not a single problem.

i have the 64gb one and i think it might be giving issues it randomly started giving me messages that sd card damaged however a simple restart would fix the issue.

Lol SU what happend to the SD you had?
To be fair to Sandisk, they were replacing the cards damaged in the s3

I posted an article on this over in the "S3 Kills SD Cards" thread, glad Sandisk is finally saying something. With that being said, there are certainly a lot of complaints in the thread from people claiming to have other brands of cards as well- it would be nice if we had some real stats as to the number of Sandisk vs non-Sandisk issues, but at least this is something!

Havent seen it mate but over on Android Central i remember a huge thread with people complaining about scratches on their screen and it seemed to me, most of the complaints were by people in North America.. so either Americans have better eyes or theirs were shipped with poorer quality glass. A poll would have been good. I just couldnt understand it coz i dont "baby" my phone in any way but the glass is the only thing thats completely flawless after nearly a year.
Oops i went bit off topic lol :-)

yeah im from usa and my s3 has yet to have a problem if you look over at android central there ppl saying that there screens just cracked all by there self lol

I have issues with the screen, I think the oleo-phobic coating wore off and now the screen gets too many fingerprints and it seems like it's not as smooth as before. Using a screen protector "patches" the problem.

I wonder if you could use something like Liquid Armor- might be worth looking at if you really despise screen protectors...

I tolerate mine. :-/

Yeah i wasnt sure if my fingers had just got more greasy lol. If it was a coating wearing away then it only lasted a couple of months

There have been similar threads on the HTC Desire HD forum, so I am unconvinced that it is a problem with any particular phone, unless manufacturers are all following faulty hardware design guidelines. It seems to me to be something about micro SDHC cards, which do seem to be a lot less reliable than standard-sized SDHC cards.

I'm in the States and my glass is perfect after almost a year. And I absolutely do not believe in screen protectors. What a waste to put on such a smooth gorgeous screen!

My Sandisk Ultra 16GB failed a couple if weeks ago, so what did I do? Yes that's right, bought the same one again but with 32GB. You would think I'd learn from the first one but apparently not ;) I hope this one lasts a bit longer

I lost two Sandisk cards a number of months ago. A 32g and a 16g. I ended up buying a different brand 16g card (don't remember which, but don't feel like taking my case off to see) and it's worked fine.

Damn Sandisk... I wonder what their "fix" is? Won't do me any good since both of my cards were tossed in the trash looong ago.

I have 2 32gb San disk cards, one for my tablet and one for my phone. My first one recently died so I replaced it with a 32gb Samsung card.
I emailed san disk about this 2 days ago and are sending me a free replacement without me having to return the original.

It was originally in my s3,but it started acting strange, I replaced it as a precaution, but it never actually died.
I put it in the tablet and it died after 3-4 days.
I have think it was the s3 that killed it though not the tablet
