Help Save contacts without phonenumber like Google?

Hi
i use google calendar with sms service so i got sms from Google with the reminder
The sms sender is only "Google" without any phonenumber
in my old x10 mini with 1.6 i could save that contact and add as phonenumeber the word "Google" (alphanumeric, yes) so i can put a contact image to Google so every time i got sms from Google i see the picture i saved.

now in my galaxy S with original froyo (not a cooked rom) i cannot do that action.
if i click on Google (in an sms) nothing happen... (it didn't ask me to save contact) and if i cannot write myself alphanumeric chars

do you know if there is a method or an app to save contacts without number to have a contact picture in sms?

FYI, if you set the 'Reminder' in your calendar to 'Pop up', you will get a notification already. No more need for sms to be sent to your phone.

sure but the Google sms it was only an example
i got sms also from my carrier (vodafone) and i've the same problem
i got sms from my car-insurance
i got sms from others services

so the popup is not a solution
