Is there a way to make everything save to the SD card by default? For example, downloads, screenshots, photos saved from Facebook, etc. I can't find a way to do it.
This is a limitation of Android KitKat. You can no longer move files over to the SD card as you could in previous versions. You should be able to move everything over to the folder your camera is using (i'm not a fan of that myself). Another option is to create new folders on your SD card when your phone is connected to your PC and move the images that way.
Once the folder is created and images exist in the folder, you will be able to move images to that folder via the gallery application on your phone.
