I long clicked on a text and hit "save". I am trying to find where this text was saved to and how to restore it or view it. I accidentally deleted the text after I saved it. It pops up a location at the bottom where it is saved. But disappears too fast to write down the location. I appreciate the help. I am planning a wedding and needing the information badly.

Help Saved Text Message Location

I have a Sprint GS3 with android 4.4.2 and I don't see any option to save text messages. When I long press a text message, I get the option to either delete, copy text, forward, lock, share, or view message details. But there is no option to save. Are you using a third party text messenger?

Look under /storage/emulated/0/messaging. It will be an .xml file that you can select and you are provided with a choice of how to open it.

Thanks, I found it. The only options it gives me to open is with an HTML text editor. Is there something I can do to see it normally. I need to be able to decifer the dates and the way they are displayed in the editor is like this.
