Saving a ring tone from a text message

Hi all
Hope you can help me.
I have a new htc Wildfire and a friend sent me a tone that I would like to save as a message alert. It was sent as an attachment to a text. I can only play it but want to save it as a message alert.
How can I do that??
Can anyone help me PLEEEEEESE!!!!

If I recall correctly you long press the ringtone in the message to bring up a dialog box that should allow you to save the ringtone.
