Saving contacts to Groups

[Ian Draper1942]

Hi I've seen that various people seem to suggest this is easy, however I have so far never managed to achieve success.

I have groups created, and open one up and then go to the + button to add members I type in a name and it searches the obviously empty group and finds nothing there. How do you get it to search the main directory?

Welcome to the forums Ian Draper1942, glad to have you here

First off what version of android are you running, this will help me be able to accurately assist you with this issue.

Otherwise when i add groups i start typing the persons' name i want to add and it shows people up on my contacts, like if i start typing Za...it brings up a guy i know named Zach...

Hope this helps, feel free to leave some more information regarding your issue.
