Help Saving contacts to phone vs. Google - can't choose

My phone has suddenly decided to save all contacts to my Google account, as opposed to my phone which it used to do as default. Whenever saving a contact, it doesn't give me an option to save them to my phone any more, just Google. Is there a way to change this? I've tried my local Sprint store and Sprint customer service without luck.

I always save my new contacts to google so the phone will backup that contact when it syncs. I tried saving it to the phone at first but found out next time I flashed that the ones I saved to the phone were not restored by resyncing with Google. They were just gone. So my point is that saving it with google is a benefit in the fact that it will be backed up & available for restore if needed & will still be saved to your phone contacts when you add it.

To answer your question I could not find the option to clear the default for contact storage once it has been selected. I know this doesn't help but maybe it will ease your mind about it......

So on this note, does anyone know how to clear the default save point for Contacts? Android used to ask me. Then one day I chose one as "Use this as default". I can't remember which one I chose. How do I go back and change it or reset it so that it asks me each time?

I am saving new numbers but then I lose them in Android, because when I search for the new contact it is not here.

Much thanks!
