I am not able to save my MMS photos to my Samsung Galaxy S2. :s:
I have read on other support threads that once a photo has been downloaded, it is automatically saved in the gallery...mine are not, nor is there any option to save them.
If you're using the stock messaging app, you hold your finger on the message until a pop up comes up. Select Attachments. Then select the image and click save.
