Help Saving Navigation

I want to have a location in the mapping and save the location, like home, work, girlfriend
Can that be done?

You can make a short cut to a location on your home screen but I don't think inside google navigation you can. There are a few things I would like to see added to google nav like - saved locations and night mode.

the button to the right of the location brings you to your favorite tab in your contacts, if you have entered location information for the contacts in your favorites you can select and navigate directly to them.

Saw this tip in another tread and it worked really well for me.

"...the key is making a 'my maps' on google maps on your computer, hitting 'layers' on google nav and 'more layers' and choosing your 'my maps'..."

When you add that layer you get what looks like favorites for navigation.
