Transfer via Bluetooth. Or root phone & make a CWM backup. Root new phone & transfer from that backup folder to new phone via Nandroid manager

How do you backup to SD card there is nothing saying back to sd card on my phone. I don't have the cloud on my phone and you can not down load to it right now. Because it is missing Google Play Services. We were on the phone for almost 3 hours trying everything we could.

Disable USB debugging. Download G.P.Services to PC then drag&drop apk. Into phone. Install like regular apk to install any necessary libs. Then reboot to check function. May (most likely) need to push into a system folder (app or priv-app) and set permissions to 0755. Reboot once more.. Hope that helps..

I'd recommend the app SMS Backup & Restore. It can create a backup file of all of your text messages and place it on on your sdcard (or 'external storage', as the app refers to it). If you then factory reset and re-install the app, you can restore the backup.

The only caveat is that, since you don't have access to the play store or the internet, the next-easiest way to install an app is with some kind of file browser on the phone.

Assuming you do have some way on the phone of browsing the sdcard, you can grab the installer file ("com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore-com.slideme.sam.manager-6.25.apk") from this website. Connect the phone to the pc, move the .apk file across and run it from your file browser. Then use it to backup your messages.

The backup file should in theory survive the factory reset, if it is on the sdcard/eternal storage. However, I would copy it to your PC for safe keeping before factory resetting, just in case.
