Say "google" to launch voice search

so I noticed this setting on my phone and it is checked but when I say "google" nothing happens...
The setting is found when you touch the google search box and it brings up your cards etc. sroll all the way down and touch the three dots in the bottom right corner. settings>voice

I thought it might be that feature we are seeing touted for the Motorola X but it doesnt seem to work at all...anyone know anything about this?

Go to Settings | Touchless Control and check Touchless Control. Then train it with "OK Google Now" (I use "OK Droid Maxx" for training and then only have to say "OK Droid" to engage it.)

After that you can say "OK Google Now Time" and it will tell you the time.

I dont see touchless controls under settings anywhere...I checked both the regular phone settings and also the 3 dot settings under the google

Swipe down from the top.
Select the gear in the upper right corner.
Select the gear Settings (upper right corner.
Select Touchless Control.
Check Touchless Control.
Select Train launch phrase
Follow the instructions.

I strongly recommend that you do not check Call while locked.

For the Razr's you have to be Google search/Google Now (on mine I pull it up from the bottom) then you should be able to say "Google" to wake up the voice search.
It's not the same as the always listening feature for Moto X et al.

I noticed this as well. After an initial update it worked and then it stopped. But since the performance was so awfully slow and bad when it was working, I never bothered looking into why it went away.
