Says Wifi is connected but I have no connection. :(

Hello!

so.... my son's tablet can't connect to the internet. it can see the wifi signal, and obtain an ip address, and the icon in the top bar shows it is connected. the little arrows light up in both directions

however there is no real connection. any website i try gives an error "unavailable at this time." can't get to the play store. no connection....

a couple months ago we restored the device to original, and then upgraded. it has been working fine (with internet connection) since then.

any ideas what might be causing this???

i really appreciate any suggestions!

Just a thought, try rebooting the router. Are there any other wifi devices around and are they working?

I'm guessing that did the trick. Had to do the same thing when I went to my dad's this weekend. I connected to his wifi fine but no internet. He has Comcast and every few months it just needs to be rebooted.
