Root SBF for global

[draexo]

Does the SBF file for the Droid 2 Global restore everything back to "out of the box" default Verizon settings with all the bloatware? Just curious. I am pretty sure it does, but can not find the info to confirm it.

yes

yes

Thank you!

Is the "sbf" referring to the bootstrap app?

No, SBF is a file that resets your phone to the way you got it from the factory. It can also be used to recover your phone if you ever brick it.

Crap how do I get that?

I have it here. I can post a link to my personal website. Problem is that I have never used it so... while I can link it, I do not know what to tell you to do with it. Can anyone help?

The best resource for the Droid 2 Global IMO is over at droidforums.net. They have a whole forum dedicated to the device. It is where I learned to do most of the rooting measures on the D2G. I have yet to need to sbf so I can't chime in any further. Hope this helps!

Do a google search on how to use the SBF. You will also need a program called RSD lite. I could try to tell you all steps from memory, but I might miss something, so best bet is to find a step by step guide.
