Root SC 2.4 Battery Life......ugh

Why not upgrade to SC2.6? My battery life improved slightly. Also check your time without signal, Settings>About Phone>Battery Use. If this number is high that is most likely your cause. One thing that helps is to place the phone in airplane mode, reboot, and let the phone sit in airplane mode for a few minutes. Don't know what it does but it helps lower time without signal,

Thanks. I will check that when the wife gets back with her phone. She's really pissed right now b/c of the battery drain. Hopefully that will help and I can get out of the doghouse. lol

I don't see anything says time without signal in there.

I am now on 2.6 with the EB16 kernel and my battery sucks big time! I just came from SC2.0 with the stock kernel and my battery was way better. I think I'm going to try and go back to the stock and see what happens.

Make sure the phone is un-plugged. Also on SC 2.6 if you freeze the Today Briefing, and Today Schedule Widgets this will help with battery life.

I'm on 2.6 voodoo EB01 and once I charged it fully, used the included battery state reset script in terminal, my battery life is great.

Yea I'm on 2.7 every since 2.4 my battery life has been atrocious. I can just watch my dispaly and see my battery go down like a timer. My phone is unplugged and I still get the cell standby in battery use and what is the command in terminal to reset batt stats or can someone direct me to a thread with instructions? TIA

My personal experience with heavy battery drain is when I turn on Background Data and Sync. When those two features are on, the battery will drain about 40% overnight.

When I turn them off, the battery only looses 2%-3%
Last night, the popup message to remove the battery charger showed just as I was going to bed. This morning the battery was at 97% over a 7+ hour time period.
