Scared of Android

I think there is more danger in having your handset stolen or lost and ending up in the hands of a malicious person. Be sure you protect your phone from being opened by a stranger and add a phone locator app or possibly one of the apps that lets you remotely shut down or scrub your Droid from a home or work computer.
And read, read, read and research. The collective wisdom on this forum and other websites will never let you down.
I believe I once read that more people have their identity stolen from their snail mail than any online source. But that said, use the advice given above regarding downloading, etc.

By the numbers, malicious apps represent .027% of the apps out there.

You have better chances of being struck by lightning or hit by frozen blue ice being ejected by a plane than getting malware on your Android.

And it's not really up to chance. You choose to install what you choose to install. You do not just (I hope) randomly install apps.

No chance of randomly installing apps buddy...In fact, I am over cautious at the moment  ....Just a week old with Android and smartphones....So still learning about the same in free time :D
