Schedule daily reboot app?

[fuzzyreets]

Is there an app or any way outside of rooting to schedule a daily reboot of my phone?

[gthomaspt]

Not really...

[Demache]

An app making a phone reboot (on purpose anyway) requires root. Apps don't have this ability without root to prevent rogue apps.

Anyone found an app with this capability ?

I wanna schedule a reboot every 6 am...

thx

Sounds like a bunch of people who came over from Blackberry.

Tasker can do this, but as Demache said (6.5 months ago, lol) - you must be rooted for that feature to be unlocked

So how do I schdule my phone to reboot everday at a certin time, yes im rooted...do I need a certin app or something?

[lifeonmtv]

yes you need tasker

[Adauth]

damn another app to buy...this ones like 7 bucks too....lol

[lifeonmtv]

lol it's worth it though, you can do many other things apart from that

try the trial version off the devs website, 2 week trial i think.

also, if you're patient, i'm sure new apps will come up with this functionality because as far as i know it was only re-introduced recently.

Not sure why the daily reboot but I just switch the phone off at night then on again in the morning. Or have I missed something?
