Scrabble-like games

So I've been using Wordwise for a few days now. It's definitely nice to have something on Android. Thanks to the guys and gals who are working on this.

Couple suggestions/complaints though:

1. I normally get a FC on the first login. Then I log back in and it works. Still a bit buggy for a paid app.
2. It would be nice if notifications would pop up in the notification bar. I had it on email alert for a day and that got real annoying real quickly. Now I just login to see if my opponent has played, but it would still be cool if we got some kind of notification.
3. As I think others have mentioned, it would be nice to have a rematch feature.
4. An in-game chat feature would be pretty nice.
5. Cross platform integration with other OS's (gulp: read Iphone) would be the bee's knees.

Those are just a few suggestions. Thanks for your work and putting something out that's fun to play

I'm having a problem now - can't use the newest version in the market cos of force close issues when trying to sign in. New game invites are being received by email but aren't then showing in my games list.

Is there anyone on here using WordWise on an HTC Desire? I need to try and work out if the issues I am having with force closing are to do with the Desire, HTC Sense or the fact that I have a T-Mobile (although de-branded) device.

You may want to take a look at a new word puzzle game that I released with unique new twists. If you like Scrabble you may love Word Micester.

Word Micester

Or search for "Word Micester" on Android Marketplace and try it for yourself. It's only $1.99 and has a lot of to offer.

I hope you like it.

Follow up on my issue with WordWise and HTC Desire. Seems the issue is being caused by "Apps Organiser". If I uninstall that, then WordWise runs fine. I can live without folders on my desktop for now :-)

Just tried Wordwise, not having any friends with Android phones I tried the Random option - sent invites to some strangers, but no-one seemed to want to play :(

Just tried to accept a game invite, and was told that I don't have any active games, which is weird, because I have a bunch.

I just downloaded wordwise pro for my HTC Evo and am very disappointed there's no "local" multiplayer option, for playing friends on my device, for example, in the car. Is such functionality coming? I was surprised when the options screen was only invite friend and invite random.

Also, does EA Scrabble work on the Evo--has anyone tried it?

I downloaded the free version of WordWise yesterday. So far I really like it. Like others have said, I wish it had a different notification system so it doesn't clog up my gmail box. Also, it would be nice if it kept stats. W-L record, highest scoring game/word, etc....

Email back from Word with Friends dev. "
Thanks for your interest!

We are indeed exploring the Android platform, and we're very excited about it, too! But we're not ready to announce anything just yet. =)

Stay tuned!

Are you chained to Apple or is there an Android version coming?

Having the same problem. I will send invites and when I check back on them all of them will have left or didnt respond to my invite. I have installed and uninstalled this game several times and each time been more disappointed. Please fix.

I'm always up for a wordwise invite - mbennum@gmail

BTW the latest update is pretty nice, its getting better. Scrolling the board is helpful and the stats are cool. Some more in-depth stats would be cool (personal highest word score, stuff like that) and it would be nice if that stuff was in the game instead of kicking you out to the web browser but its still neat that its there.

Are these stats only in the Pro version? I've been trying out the free version and haven't seen stats or scrollable boards

I agree I went to an Htc Evo from a Touch pro2 (windows mobile) I used to have a great scrabble app called "scrobble" was perfect for passing the phone around the room and playing a game of scrabble. Is there any way to add a local multiplayer option....or another app that is like "scrobble" ?????

The stats are just a webpage at WordWise So I would think you could get to them whether you have the free or paid version, maybe they just didn't put a button in the game to get to it.

The scrolling I don't know, I have the pro version so I don't know what the free one is like, sorry.

No mention of WordUp?

Brilliant game that encumbers the player with a time limit to find as many words (3< letters) in a 3x3, 4x4 or 5x5 square.

Completely free too.

There's no way I'd pass around my phone. The first time someone dropped it I'd have a heart attack. If I want to play someone who is with me I'll pull out the actual Scrabble board.
