Help Scrambled Youtube

Hello. For about 3-4 days now, my VzW G3 has been scrambling youtube (default youtube app) videos for the first 30-60 seconds or so. The video plays in HD but black and white. After 30-60 seconds, it clears up back to normal. As long as I stay in the youtube video, I can start it over and it plays fine but if I leave the video and go back, it does this again.

The image is black and white tiled and scrambled.

Anyone seen anything like this? I know it's not a quality issue because it happens at full bars 4G or full bars wifi. I am a new user so I cannot post links/images so if someone wants to see an image of the issue, PM me.

EDIT: It did let me post a pic after all.

Having the same issue here. Joined just to follow this. Hoping someone had an idea. Mine will only unscramble half the time.

I'm not sure if my issue I'm explaining is youtube scrambling or not. But I have had a strange issue I experienced with YouTube, what basically happens is that it most of the time says there was a problem with the network, but I know nothing is wrong with the network because I am connected to wifi and the internet works fine, sometimes youtube works but most of it stops connecting, I have tried everything: force stopping the app, uninstalling updates, redownloading the app several time ect but nothing works and I don't have any more solutions and it's seriously annoying, could anyone please give me a solution
Thanks

I had the same thing for a few days last week but I thought it was a custom rom that I was running. .

It seems to have cleared up on Friday. There has been a recent update to the YouTube app.

Also, if I am on a slow connection, I use the option in the app to use the slowest speed possible. That helps with constant buffering too.

i just tried watching the video that was previously scrambled and it appears to work fine.

granted im on my home wifi, as opposed to my work wifi, so its not an apples to apples connection.

I have received updates for YouTube but they did not work either and also it's constantly doing it everyday

I've had the exact same problem for a month or so.

Same issue, same phone
it seems random. sometimes I can get a video to work in the youtube app.

also, a good workaround (though this is still frustrating), is to open the video in Chrome and play it in chrome (don't allow it to be redirected and played natively in the app

I had this issue as well. I downgraded to factory version...updated to the current version...cleared cache and data (without running the YouTube app at all) and yeah...the new version is playing vids without gray boxes now.

Wow.. I have been dealing with that for quite sometime thanks for the info.. Worked like a charm now I can finally watch you tube again thanks guys!!
