Help Scratched screen

I've had my SGS for less than a week, it has a screen protector, and yet there is a scratch that I can clearly see has gone through the protector and scratched the screen itself (at least 90% sure). I thought that the screen was very tough? I'm very disappointed now, can anyone suggest anything?

What on earth did you do that could cause something to scratch through a protector and into the screen? I've had mine for nearly a year and never had any damage to the screen.

Must have put keys or something really sharp next to it. the screen on the SGS is pretty tough and very hard to scratch. I would think the only thing you could do would be to have the screen replaced but I would think that would cost you dearly.
