Hi all, it's been a while since I updated so just put the latest tenderloin of, now my text seems slightly out of focus or blurry especially in the Web browsers, any ideas on what is causing this?
I don't have your device, but I did a little search for you.
Apparently this is a common issue for this device because my search landed a lot of results. It seems the rendering of text / webpages is not very good across the board for the device.
Some folks have suggested to exit the page and re-enter it and sometimes it'll fix it. Or just power the screen off, and then back on to see if that works.
Hi Colchiro, Its the latest nightly for CM9, seems to be doing it in all browsers, chrome, dolphin etc, the fonts are just slightly out of focus, tapping makes no difference. Was fine before, i might revert back. Could it be the line resolution or anything?
If you have a backup, good. Restore it and maybe try a different build or CM10 after updating to latest recovery and moboot (unless you already updated recovery before making that backup).
Well its really strange, put my old system on and just the same. The text in the address bar is crystal clear, it's the text in the actual Web Page that seems slightly out of focus, are there any settings hidden anywhere where you can adjust the text sharpness anywhere?
Not that I'm aware of. If you zoom in or out, images will have to be scaled, which may make them fuzzy, but I would think that text should still be clear.
Reminds me of a story.... My dad asked my mom to put eye drops in his eyes several nights in a row, until one day when he wasn't around, she noticed the TV screen was dusty. Is your screen clean?
well found the problem, Google chrome, uninstall problem goes, reinstall problem back, probably explains why my old backup had the same problem, Google chrome was updated a couple of days back, using Firefox now, not as good but does not screw up my screen. cheers for your help guys!
I see looking at the reviews for Chrome in the play store other people are moaning about blurry text after the latest update to Chrome, so not just me, phew...
