Help Screen Brightness Randomly Changes

My LGL86C screen is changing its brightness by itself, even when just laying on table in front of me. I used to think it was something I did when using it. Auto is off and brightness is turned all the way up. Any ideas? Thanks
 
Well not sure so it's up all the way....what do you have your screen time out set on, cause it will go a lil dim before it times out and goes black....but other than that I ain't real sure...sure wish I could have been more help......sorry.
 
Mine does the same thing...Actually today it changed to half brightness and nothing will change it back. Moving the slider does nothing
 
Well, here it is about 6 months later, and my phone is still randomly changing its brightness. I contacged Sgraight Talk, and they want me to send it in for repair. Problem is, sending in for repair is how i got this phone in first place. When i had an LG Slider and sent it in for repair, i bought this Showtime to use while waiting for Slider to be returned. Local Walmart has 30 day return. But ST lost my Slider and eventually gave me 6 months free service on this Showtime (that i like better). Wild, huh! But the brightness problem continues. And not crazy about return for repair. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks
 
I have the same phone, same issue. I just live with it. It does it a few times a day and doesn't matter what app is running it looses like 20% brightness then goes back to normal. Weird bug.
