Screen broken galaxy nexus: How to turn on USB debugging

Hi all,

I broke the screen on my Galaxy Nexus today. I have a pattern lock. All I need is to grab some files from the pictures folder and then I going to buy a new phone.

I have been reading countless forum postings and have found out that I have to have USB Debugging enabled which I don't.

Q1: Is there any way to enable USB Debugging without using the screen?

Q2: "adb devices" doesn't list my GN even though the phone is listed in My Computer. I can open up the device but no folders appear within it because of the pattern lock. I installed "Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.14.0" recently to but to no avail

Any ideas? I really hope so...

Hello there and welcome mianbarray!
I am pretty sure the answer to question 1 is no.
The answer to question 2 would be to try and use a different usb cord or a different computer port.:)

I am not familiar with your device, but I would assume the pix are on the internal memory?
Wasn't sure if there was a removable external sd card that the pix are on, then the answer would be simple I guess huh? :)
