screen capture apps, no workie on spectrum

I've searched and unless im overlooking it i haven't found a screen capture/grab app for the lg spectrum that works. Phone has not been touched interms of doing stuff to it other then some basic apps. Is there something I have to do to get any of the screen capture/grab apps work?
 
I just installed that and it would empty out my photo's in the albums and then give the "this phone is not rooted" message.
 
Make sure its by Edward Kim. I'm using the one that might require root, even though my phone isn't rooted. (I have an Atrix 4G) He has one for non rooted phones, but cost $4.99.
 
The screenshotit app that did not require root was pulled out ages ago if I remember correctly. Your phone must be rooted for a screenshot app to work.
 
If you read his notes PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING: you would have known the way he implement screen shot as non-root is a work-around. So it still stands and that is Android SDK does not provide API to do it unless you root your phone.

Hey Steve,

I have an Lg Spectrum and have tried every screenschot app and none of them worked but i found somewhere that said to just press the lock and the home key. I tried it and it worked perfectly! Hope this helps!
