I tried swiping the screen with the side of my palm left to right or right to left but it nevers takes a screen capture

how the heck does this work?

cool - thanks for the power+home tip - sorted :)

i had tried this before and hadnt quite got the timing right - plus th palm thing seemed a bit sily and didnt work either

cheers

Honestly I can never get the palm swipe screen capture to work. I have it turned on and it has worked once, just will trying, but never since then. Don't really need it, I don't think, it's just a cool feature. Maybe some help? Is it your palm or the side of the hand and what triggers it? The sensor at the top?

The only advice I can give is use the side of your hand. Attack the left hand edge of the screen with a karate chop to get placement.

With the outside edge of your hand along the left hand edge of the screen, the tip if your little finger will be in the top left corner of the screen. With equal, slow and steady movement, move your hand to the right edge of the screen in a motion similar to that a photocopier would do.

Obviously ensure motion is still enabled

Once youve got it down, you can reproduce it at will

this video demonstrates the motion pretty clearly:

just make sure the entire side of your hand contacts the screen. you can do it left to right or right to left, portrait or landscape. though in landscape id recommend starting on the side opposite your menu/back buttons to avoid triggering them as youre swiping your hand

Took me a while to figure it out.

YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY TOUCH YOUR HAND ACROSS THE SCREEN. NOT HARD. JUST LIGHTLY.

these videos make it appear as if you need to wand your hand across the front camera. NOT SO!
