Help Screen Dims After displaying JPEG

Good Day

Did a search but didn't find any answers...

While displaying a JPEG, my screen dims considerably after about a second. If I swipe to a new image, it shows at normal brightness, then dims again after a second. Ive looked at various settings - power management and so on, and nothing seems to apply.

One of the main reasons I bought this tablet is for looking at JPEGs. Can anybody shed any light on this?

Thanks

OK, I'm answering my own question...

Seems to have something to do with the viewer I was using, which was the default viewer (Gallery) that is used when you click on an image file in File Manager. The same behaviour occurs when I start up Gallery to view image files.

I installed QuickPic, a free viewer available from Google Play and presto, the problem is solved. Now jpegs view nicely and do not dim.

Thank you Kolio!

I just got my Pad yesterday and I dont have this problem. It didnt dim at all.

Now I have 3 app to choose from to view picture, "ES Image Explorer", "Gallery" and "Photos".

Only "ES Image Explorer" allow you to scroll thru all the picts in a folder. ES is part of ES File Explorer. I use it for simple FTP too.

I just want to get rid of "File Manager" but I can only disable it.

It might have something to do with the size of my jpeg files. Mine are from my Nikon D610 and are very large - over 9 MB each.
