Help Screen Display Resolution

Is there a way to adjust the level of screen display quality on the Samsung Mesmerize? I know that if you use the "Youtube" app you can enable watching video at the highest quality, but I do not see anything in the phone's settings for adjusting screen quality. Nothing in the browser either (that I could find) to load pages at optimum viewing resolution.

Perhaps the resolution is automatically set to display at the optimum level?

The setting is called "density" and requires root access to change. There's an app in the market called LCD Density, but again, this requires the phone to be rooted, which I do not recommend for most users due to security risks.

On web pages you can zoom using two fingers.
