Help Screen doesn't time out

Tried to do a search and didn't find anything. My SG3 screen doesn't time out. I have the facial recognition off, the timer set to 30 sec and it will stay lit. Just now my battery died because it was on the whole time in my pocket. Anyone know how to fix it? Only thing I've heard of so far is to reboot the phone but its pretty annoying to reboot the phone everyday.

maybe a factory reset?
 
I did a factory reset like a month ago. Just started doing this, this past weekend. I only app I've installed was a game.
