Help Screen Glitch?!?

Recently, my LG Spectrum (1) has this weird glitch. I will turn it on, and when I touch one part of the phone, another part of the screen is touched even though I didn't touch that part of the screen. Sounds weird, I know, but that's what happens... For example, I will hold down an app to move it, and the screen acts like I am touching multiple parts of the screen all at the same time, moving the app all over the place. it basically bugs out. if you touch the screen for too long, then it flips crap and glitches. I am sorry if this is confusing, I cannot express this issue into words. I might post a video on it if you'd like. Thanks!

I have that problem too on my Optimus f7. I think it might be something you can tweak in the settings, and/or be able to fix with a different launcher's settings but I'm not sure. So far I haven't done anything about it.

Csmithjonesy: if you have a protector on the device, remove it and see if the behavior disappears. It might be applying stress to the perimeter of the digitizer.

If it were me, I'd carefully run my thumb with a little force around the perimeter of the screen at the interface to the phone's shell.

I would also, very gently put the phone in landscape orientation and with it in both hands, very gently torque it back and forth like I was wringing out a towel (don't use too much force).

I think your digitizer is mechanically stressed / torqued. If you've been putting it in a tight pocket or in a bag, or under something heavy, the phone is mechanically being stressed because of the size of the screen. You want to avoid that.

Good luck.

The issue is understood. Sorry you're having this trouble. We agree that it may be a defective digitizer.

We recommend contacting your carrier or you may call in to our support line at 1-800-793-8896 where we can troubleshoot as well as setup a RA for the phone.

Regards,
^CL
