Help Screen going on and off while locked

Hello. I own a Samsung Galaxy Ace with Android 2.3.3. It was working just fine until 2-3 hours ago. The screen is turning on and off while the phone is locked.

It does not seem such a big problem, but I keep my phone near me on my desk and distracts me.

Is there any solution?

Have you tried rebooting it?

No. I'm rebooting it right now.

i am having the same problem
i been having it since i upgraded my phone to gingerbread
i upgraded via Samsung service center
the problem started coming after a few days after i upgraded it
it just turns on and off in lock screen and it is really irritating !!!
Somebody please do help me !!!

try re installing the update using kies...

Try rebooting first, its usually small glitches in the system.
If the problem still persists, do a factory data reset.
