Screen gone blank

Quietly reading Great Expectations on my DGM t909 tablet and it all disappears and now have a white screen which shuts off when I turn the power off. I can't get anything on the screen when I turn on again except the white screen. Any suggestions?

No error messages? Just white screen?

No error messages, just a blank screen!

Try to pull battery and re-insert.

Try to boot into an alternate mode (recovery mode).

Thanks for that, I am a bit of a novice on this, how do I take the battery out there are no obvious means of entry. I have rebooted, pressing the power switch and the volume switch at the same time but all it does is either turn it off or turn it on to a blank lit up screen.

I have also tried the re-set button as well but that makes no difference. I assume it is a re-set button, a very small hole in the back.
