I changes to the app drawer set up for my home screen to keep the number of screens down. I want to run widgets on my home screen and some of my more used apps. Since switching to the app drawer layout with a widget on the top two rows I can not move Icon's around on the screen. I can add them by tapping them, however it puts them where ever the system chooses (next available open spot). Not sure if it is a function of the app drawer or what..
 
I tried your setup with two full widgets on top and added a full set of app icons to fill the rest of the allotment is spaces. I could move app icons to wherever I chose by long pressing the icon and drag and drop. Easy peasy.
 
Removed the 4x2 widget and it allows me to move icons, The minute I put it back it locks the screen that the widget is on.
 
My screens are set for 5 space grid. I put 5x2 grid email widget and 4x3 bookmarks widget and can still move icons freely. Maybe there is a setting difference. What widget is causing the problem or do they all?
 
I have not tried others. The widget is for Transparent Weather App. It must just be that app, I just tried another (had not thought of that, thank you) and it permitted me to move ICONs. It must be a setting or default behavior of the widget. Thanks again.
 
I have tried resizing no dice. I actually sent the company an email becuae it seems to lock the screen.

What launcher - i do not know how to answer that as i am not real sure what it is :)
 
I believe I am using the stock LG launcher. Per the developer it is a know issues with the app drawer home screen configuration that LG caused with an update. No ETR at this time. Can I change the application that launches my home screen?
 
You can download different lanucher programs - they run in place of the stock portion of the system rom. you mentioned developer - so it sounds like you are running an add on launcher. Like Nova or something.

I would uninstall that - many aftermarket launchers do not work with the V20 correctly due to the second screen system. and It isn't LG's fault perse - they are just the first people to implement one - android OS actually supports up to 4 if I recall correctly. To that end though - may people have odd issues that occur when using a custom launcher program. That might be the biggest part of your issue.
 
As far as I know it is the stock launcher. I meant the developer of the app/widget. Thanks for your input on all my issues.

In Nova, you can't change the location of the apps. it just puts them wherever.
