Screen Issue: Flicker / Illumination Level Changes

Cannot find the post I read on this, as it was occurring to someone else. Had my unit since just before Thanksgiving. Love it, except the screen will from time to time start flickering, changing illumination level by 5-10 percent or so. Did not do this out of the box. Noticing it more and more. Setting up to replace unit.

If I put my brightness level on automatic is flickers like a strobe light at a rave. This happened straight out of the box. I don't much care for auto brightness settings anyway so I just turned it off. If I need the screen brighter (like outdoors) I simply use the super easy toggle button in the notifications bar!
