Help Screen issues

The phone had been working great Thursday through yesterday but now I'm having major issues with the screen. Last night it was simply turning right off after I pressed the power button. Meaning the phone is powered on and I'm just trying to turn on the screen. It would turn on then before I could finish the slide to unlock, the screen would turn off again. I would repeat this frustrating procedure two or three times before the screen would stay on.

Now this morning it's gotten worse. To the point where I can't keep the screen on or the screen won't turn on at all. I checked the time out and auto dimming settings but that didn't help. I think I may do a reset tonight in case it's one of my apps that's causing the problem. If that doesn't work I'll have to take it back to the Verizon store to have them check it out because it pretty much renders the phone useless.

I had a similar issue with my 1st G2. The "bottom 3rd" of the screen would behave as if it was being touched... it was intermittent but when it happened, the phone behaved as if someone was constantly tapping and/or dragging the bottom 3rd of the screen. Icons would get moved around or deleted.. and the knock feature would get activated so the screen would lock instantly. I took it back to VZW for a new handset and all is fine now.
