Root Screen Lock Image

I was curious to know how you would go about changing the image on the screen when you press the power button. For example, when you press it on the OE now, it simply fades to black. On my girlfriends Droid Bionc, it shows a very cool "turning off old tv" image. If you will. As in, it closes from the top and bottom, meet in the middle, and then closes horizontally. I hope that gives a good idea. I don't know why but I can't get over it. And I would love to have it on my OE. Anybody have any ideas?

Are you taking about the CRT-off animation?

You should be able to enable or add that back to Gingerbread.

There are several guides on how to do that for different devices. For some devices it will be more difficult than others. Feel free to give it a shot.

EDIT: This works ^. In case you're interested, I'll probably be adding that feature into Curtis' ROM with some other stuff.
