Help screen lock samsung

I have samsung galaxy s6 it has locked me out...I usually accessed with my thumbprint it is not giving me that option it is asking for a password..I have entered the password I set and it is not taking it...I have been trying all day...now it is making me wait 60 minutes before I can try again...it is not giving me any options like to access via my google account...does anyone know how to get pass the lock screen when you don't remember the password

Go to Android Device Manager on a PC and try accessing from there.

If you have Samsung's "find my mobile" service enabled, you can change the screen lock code using that as well.
