screen lock

someone pls help me i have put my screen lock on and forgot it.now it is asking me for my user name and password for google mail but cant remember thisis there anyway round this???pls help me somebody.

I think I read somewhere that someone was able to bypass the lock screen bt hitting the home button durinng or at the end of a phone call. I don't know if this is the case however.

In my opinion, however, without the lock code and without a valid Gmail user name and password the only option at this point would be to do a factory reset on the phone.
