Help Screen Mirroring

How do I find out if my TV and Galaxy Note 3 can do screen mirroring? This is the TV I have.

VIZIO - M-Series - 50" Class (49-1/2" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - 240Hz - Smart - 3D - HDTV

Model: M501d-A2R

You can ask me, after I spent an afternoon trying to get the same thing to work with my M551d. So far, all I've been able to figure out is that an MDL adapter MAY work. Screen Mirroring in the phone itself only works with Samsung phones. (I did manage to get one Youtube 3D video to sort of work, so I know the 3D part and the glasses work.)

If you find that I'm wrong, please let me know - I'd love a 55" screen on this thing.

I have a Pioneer Kuro that is several years old..
I downloaded Allcast from play store, it works great..
Photos, videos, movies and music all work for fine..
Good luck..

I don't think Allcast is the same as screen mirroring. Screen mirroring is throwing your phone screen on your TV as is...home screen, widgets, notifications, everything. I have a Samsung DVD player that works with my TV to allow this. Works pretty well, but if you're just interested in displaying photos and videos Allcast works well too, as well as DLNA and other sharing protocols.
