Screen Non-Responsive but Hardware Buttons Work?

I picked my Razr up last night, and so far I've had two issues where the screen appeared to freeze up, but all of the hardware buttons still worked, so I could turn the screen off, or click home, back, etc., so the phone wasn't completely locked up.

The first time it happened, I was trying to set-up Wave Launcher. At the time, i didn't realize the "battery pull" method took about 15-20 seconds, so my only option was to wait. I ended up uninstalling Wave Launcher, as I thought it was the cause for the failure. I would estimate the time of the "lock-up" to be about 30-60 seconds.

Then tonight, I was playing Words with Friends, and in the middle of me placing a letter, the screen froze again. Like with the first time, the hardware buttons still worked, but the screen was completely unresponsive (even at the lock screen). This time, I used the "battery pull" method and rebooted my phone.

The problem hasn't occurred again, but I'm curious if anyone feels this is a hardware issue, in which case, I'll make a trip to Costco tomorrow, or is this more likely a software issue that will be patched in the future?

Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Jeez....this looks like a Motorola issue.

Similar to the Black screen of death that happens to the Bionic.
