Screen not sensitive?

I traded in my Galaxy S7 Edge for the Galaxy S8 and I'm regretting it. My S7 was nice and sensitive to touch - opening applications, scrolling, everything was easy. I'm having a hard time with this S8. I have to tap on most icons more than once to even get them to respond - I have to put a lot of pressure on the screen to scroll - it's so annoying. I see nobody else mentioning this, so is it just me? The Verizon people told me that it's a pressure screen now - but I've read nothing to support that. My battery life is great, but I'm wondering if it's just that I'm avoiding using it because it's become more trouble than it's worth?

I've only played with display models, but have tried 5 out at different times and never had any problem operating the touchscreen. And I'm not a heavy-handed sort of person.

I guess you could take it into a store, try one of their display models and if yours is different you'd have the evidence right there for exchanging it?

As above it doesn't sound right to me, it should be sensitive to the slightest touch just like the S7, the comment about it being a pressure screen is baloney.

In my experience, the display is OVERLY sensitive. Lol Sometimes registers taps before your finger even comes in contact with the glass.
