Screen not working on android phone, can I back it up?

The screen is not working on my android phone, but some part of it is, because the alarm keeps going off at 6:30 a.m. Is there some utility I can install on my notebook to retrieve all of data from my phone? some way to connect the phone to a monitor and mouse? HELP!

well yes but you can also buy the part if you know the brand and version of your phone but to get your info youll need to be able to connect it to a pc seems how its a android it will have a popup that will be asking you if you what you pc to access files on your device

also are you able to send a pic to of the phone while the screen is on so i can see what part of the screen still works?

Whether it can be connected to a monitor/mouse depends on the phone. Most these days support "USB OTG", which allows you to use USB peripherals like flash drives, mice and keyboards through a simple adapter. Many can be connected to a TV, but not all, and what adapter you need depends on what phone you have. This is why it's always important to say what phone you have, because with different phones of different ages from different manufacturers the answer is often different, so if you don't tell us we can't answer it.

The big problem is that you've only got one USB socket. So until you can pair a bluetooth keyboard or mouse, or enable wireless casting to a TV, you can either see what it's displaying or interact via keyboard/mouse but not both at the same time. Now I have managed to unlock a phone with a broken screen and recover data from it by swapping between monitor and keyboard, but it takes patience. The best case would be if it's just the display not working while the touchscreen is: if so you can just mirror the display and still control it via the touchscreen.

As for retrieving "all of the data" from the phone, what do you mean by "all"? If you can unlock the phone you should be able to copy stuff from the user-accessible part of the storage to a computer via USB, either a simple USB file transfer or using "ADB" (USB debugging). But while that's fine for photos etc, it's not going to give you access to app data (which includes contacts). Of course some of that stuff might be backed up to Google's cloud anyway (e.g. if you stored your contacts to your Google account they will be synced), but not everything will be. So you'll have to tell us what data you are most interested in before we can answer this one as well.
