Screen Notifications

Is there any way for me to set up my S6 so that an incoming text or incoming email or incoming FB update causes the screen to come on? I do already receieve audible tone notifications for each of these, and I do have the setting to publish them to the screen turned on. But if the screen has gone dark when the text comes in, it does not come on automatically so I can see it. I could have sworn that my S5 worked that way.

screen should come on, its does on mine anyway when i receive a text or alert etc.

Settings>display>show notification on lockscreen ........ turn this on and my phone wakes up for incoming stuff
