Help Screen off problem after 2.3.3/4.5.605 update

I had this mentioned in 4.5.6 thread, but figured perhaps it will get a better visibility here. Just had my forced update of 2.3.3 (4.5.605 system ver) from Froyo. So far so good, except for Screen Off/Lock app. Never had an issue, considering I have Widget Locker and Launcher Pro. Now, whenever I click on Screen Off/Lock - it shuts off the screen and goes back to a stock Lock Screen, not even Widget Locker. I uninstalled and re-installed it, still the same. I even installed and tried other Screen off apps, the same behavior. I made sure in Settings->Location & Security -> Select Device Administrator I have this app checked/enabled, but no luck.

Is there some new security setting in GB, 605 build where I need to enable something to allow screen lock? Please advice!!!

Damn, got a reply from a developer:
