"Screen overlay detected" how to fix?

This has become a rather annoying issue. Before it didn't exist but now all the newer apps have this prob for some reason.
Is there a way to fix it up?

If you are using any apps which require ' draw over other apps' permission (like AZ screen recorder, messenger, ES file explorer, mobizen screen recorder etc) then turn off the 'draw over other app'. The problem would be solved.

If it isn't, uninstall them !

I use ES File Manager Pro since the beginning. Why is it a prob now?

Don't know why it is a problem..
But many apps which try to work over other apps causes problem..
ES file manager show pop up when swipe from bottom right corner,
AZ screen recorder show a ball icon, messenger also shows a ball icon which are used access them easily.
Because of them they 'Screen overy lay' problem arises!
Just try denying the permission to them.

Because app developers often release updates which introduce new permissions, or even adware, which it didn't initially have when you first installed. It's worth checking the current permissions of this and other apps.
 
Well, I ended up formatting the phone to end all issues. Best solution, really.
No more apps to clean/boost stuff up as it might unintentionally break something in the system and then it blocks features from being accessible. Lesson learned.
 
I have had the same problem with permissions and screen overlay my phone was great and I must have hit the wrong button somewhere!! I am using a galaxy Sol which I really don't like nothing but problems! I downloaded the install button unlocker app and it fixed the problem for now as was mentioned in other posts there are adverts and it takes up space! Although I live in canada I did buy this phone from a reseller it comes from Cricket! won't buy that again

Late reply when I switched to android 7 I didn't have the problem! I'm guessing this problem only occurred in android 6
