Screen Protector

I'm in Thailand and had my One X for a few weeks waiting for accessories to come out. Had a cut down screen protector on to start with which didn't look so great. It just covered the screen down to the capacitive buttons and not quite to the edges.
So got a hard case today which came with a full size film. Problem is it doesnt stick down on the curved sides of the screen so it almost like its got a long thin air bubble down each side.

Anyone else had this and. If so how did you fix it?

Thanks.

I'd protectors like that and I ended up binning them. I couldn't for the life of me get them to sit properly and the bubble was really, really annoying.

I ended up going for the official HTC protectors and they have seemed the best fit so far.

Buying an "original" screen protector from ATT store, made specially for One X, is THE mistake!! I does NOT cover whole screen, you'd have a "gap" on sides (2-3 mm), and it looks just ugly on the phone. It is major waste of my $15. :( DO NOT BUY IT!!

Are they AT&T or HTC? Due to the way the screen curves, you're not going to get any that fit exactly.

Anyone use a screen protector that does actually fit to the edge?

Given most protectors I've seen tend to be quite stiff and with the curve of the One X screen, I can't see how one would actually fit properly edge to edge.

Thanks.

I bought the ArmorSuit and it has exactly the right size and is way better than Zagg, and even better than Bestskinsever. It was slightly below $10 on Amazon including shipping. The best screen protector I've ever seen with absolutely no noticeable degradation compared to the unprotected display. Highly recommended!

This is good info, thanks.

How are you finding the fit on the curved edges? Does is seal down ok?

Thanks.

Whilst I realize the screen can be scratched, I chose not to use a protected screen. I have placed my faith in Corning Gorilla glass screen

Hi Paul,

No doubt this is what I'll end up doing as well. I didn't bother with a protector on my Desire after the first month or so.
But, you know, new toy an all that...

Thanks.

I kinda got over my fear of scratching the screen with my last phone, I got tired of the weird look the screen protector did to the display. SO far so good with the one x naked for about a month now.

Hi, Got the One X 2 weeks ago and the first thing I did was to put on a Screen protector . Why did I do this? Well its because I did it with my Desire HD as I want the Screen to be free from scratches.

Two of my friends showed me their Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy note devices. I could not believe the Screen quality on their devices compared to mine. They asked me why I had a screen protector on as my device has Scratch free Gorilla glass?

Reluctantly I removed the screen protector and OMG(Its rare I say OMG) the Improvement to the screen quality was Brilliant.

I realised I have wasted 2 weeks of Phone Screen Beauty and have now unlocked this screen/phones potential(and my screen is only set on 40% brightness).

My advice to all HTC ONE X owners is not to bother with a Screen protector as your phone will look fantastic.

I'm now wondering if my wife has had some sort of protector on her for the past 20 years!:)

Yeah - I also can't get a "regular" SP to stick at the edges. And it's a bugger to get the bubbles out. Doesn't look too bad when the sscreen is active but when the screen is dark, looks really tacky.

Bin time.

Can anyone who has gone "commando" report back on how unscratchable the gorilla glass is? I only have one screen, I don't want to find out the hard way that whaat I really wanted was a more expensive properly fitted protector.

Hi, In reference to my previous post and reply to yours, Although our phones are supposedly scratch proof I still got myself a Leather flip case which cost me
