Screen Protector

I noticed unpacking my mytouch (sounds so dumb) that there was a clear plastic piece that is marked top and bottom and fits on the screen perfect. Just wondering if that is some kind of screen protector like the invisibleSHIELD.

I don't know... but it was worthless for me. Aside from protecting the screen surface, it didn't do anything to avoid the smears from oil in your fingers.

After a few days, I bought the Zagg protector. It was around $14 on EBay. If you follow the instructions carefully, it works great. No more fingerprints, and because it's a bit thicker, I assume more protective.

CAUTION - The little bubbles that remain after installation will go away in a couple of days. I didn't think they would, but they did...

I have experience with invisible shield, and also the screen protector that came with the mytouch. My personal preference is the the stock screen protector - all it does is put a layer of protection over the screen, but still has the sleek feel like its the actual screen your touching.

The invisible shield was definitely more thick - and I'm sure if you did tests, it would hold up better to a key scratch, and misc other things. But it also has a sticky feel, and left a visible shield, not invisible.

I've heard good things about the Power Support Anti-Glare film for Google G1. This will fit on the MyTouch I'm told. When I get them this week I'll post my opinion.

Check out their video on how to apply it / compare it to the glossy protector HERE to see it in action.

Power Support G1 Anti-Glare Screen Protector

It installed pretty easily on my MyTouch. Took the stock off, lifted one end of the power support and aligned it as good as possible and just let it go down. Works like a charm. I did have a small speck of dust on my other phone when I put it on. How to fix this is use a piece of tape to lift the screen protector up and another to take the dust out. Very simple.

The Power Support Anti-Glare screen protector is very nice. It's much smoother.. It doesn't stick like the stock screen protector when you use it. You don't really see any fingerprints like the stock so your not cleaning it as much. This protector uses static to hold it, nothing sticky so no bubbles that you can't just push away and its gone.

You get two in a pack. If you need help installing or getting dust off go check out their videos on the website. I bought these on Amazon for $17 after shipping. Be careful when ordering these I had accidentally ordered the Crystal screen protector but luckily caught it in time to cancel and fix the order. I wished they included these with the phone in the first place, it makes using my phone so much better.

Mini Video Review

Yes it is! DCMUGEN on ebay has a great selection of screen protectors for the best price out there(did a lot of research). I think I paid like $4 for 3 of them with free shipping, great fit and high quality. Don't get ripped and buy something from a kiosk or mall for way to much. They are located overseas but I have purchased several items and the service is reliable and the prices can't be beat.

I just like the stock one. Keeps me from getting scratched. They sell the 2 pack at Wally World for 8 bucks, as opposed to 10 at a TMo store.
