Accessories Screen Protectors

After scratching my screen, I decided to buy the verizon screen protectors. I think I put it on right, but it's awful. It pixellated/polarized the screen and is way too sticky. Has anyone else tried these and gotten the same results? What's the best full front screen protector that doesn't greatly alter the colors/texture?
 
I use PhantomSkinz and they're pretty good. A little sticky but not awful and gives a lot of peace of mind. :)

Oh, & they do well in protecting the screen & and not very expensive. :)
 
I'm thinking about the skinomi one, which I've heard is alright. I'm less concerned about glare reduction than I am about texture and clarity.

How hard was it to apply? Does it stay on well, even with all the narrow pieces?
