Help Screen replacement?

Anyone have any experience or know if you can get the screen replaced on the tbolt?

I dropped mine the other day and cracked the screen. I can live with it but would love to get it fixed. Don't have insurance, so wondering if the screen replacement might be cheaper.

I can't get the video to show step by step replacement right now. But it looks possible if your careful enough. But I dropped mine to and had cracks on mine. I got 2 quotes to get it replaced. $85 and $125

If I were to pay to get the screen replaced I think I would look to see if there is a super amoled screen that would be compatible with the bolt

Curious to know where you got the quotes from. I'd like to contact the places myself and maybe get it done.

Yes, you can replace the cracked screen yourself. The replacements are available on Ebay for around $25 shipped... you just have to be really careful and take your time and its not that bad... the tools to do it are usually included with replacement screen.

Remember that you are not replacing the LCD screen, you are replacing the glass only or the 'digitizer'... big difference.

I have replaced 4 screens on the HTC Incredible, and it was fairly simple. I recently ordered a replacement for my TB (dropped it on my tile floor in my kitchen) Its supposed to arrive in a couple of days. I will report back to this thread once I have completed the repairs.

Good Luck

Could you do a step by step how to or at least take pics of the process? That would likely be beneficial for more than just TB users.

I look forward to hearing about the process from you. If it goes well for you I will be ordering one as well.

Also if you could let us all know who you bought it from on eBay and what you think of the packing, etc. that would be great!

Any websites you can recommend to replace my LCD screen on my Thunderbolt? My son dropped my phone. Touch screen still works, just pixels/color/clarity are off now. And I have a black line going down right side of phone which cuts off images/text. There are several websites out there to purchase replacement LCD screen for around $40-50 but wondering if these are legit??

has anyone successfully replaced their LCD? Did you have any problems. Im looking to replace my lcd and digitizer assembly
