Screen resolution?

I am having a dickens of a time trying to set up wall papers for my phone. I am using an app called Wallpaper changer to change through wallpapers of my kids.

However I cant seem the "correct" size. I can have two pictures the same width and height and they show differently.

Could someone tell me when the phone is vertical in your hand, what is the height by width of the screen? I am hoping I am just dumb and missing that part.

It should be 1920x1080

Not sure if this helps your multiple pics question but,
This is a link to a template I made. The box inside is 1920x1080 and the outside box is scaled perfectly so if you use the default "choose wallpaper" option that forces you to crop it crops the black out leaving only the 1920x1080 box.
I also have a .psd if you have photoshop or anyone else wants it.
