Screen savers...

Milo Williamson

Extreme Android User
Are they worth saving the images or not, because sometimes when I just did the bubbles one, it tended to make the screen black for around three minutes, I could not wake the machine up..

So are you against or for them, in windows ten?

Screensavers are a leftover from the days of CRT monitors when screen burn was a real problem, which is much less of an issue with LED screens. There's no harm in using them. I can't comment on Windows 10 (or 11!) as we're 100% Linux.

Thank you, I was against them forever ago since I dumped the prego monsterous white cube of a monitor I used to have, now I upgraded to a nice flirt the 21KD monitor I have.

I enjoy the daily Bing photos where you can click to know what or where it is.

Basically nowadays they are just for something interesting.

My favorite idea was one that people signed up for that had live feeds from their windows.

People from all over the world had this, and it was cool because you could literally be looking out the window of someone's house on the other side of Earth.

I don't remember.
I might have actually found the link here on AF somewhere, come to think of it.

I don't know for sure.

I do remember checking it out for some time, because it really was interesting to look out other people's windows for a change.

Especially if what is outside there is radically different from here.

And the fact that it was a live feed made it even more cool.
